This poem makes me think of Lan Wanji and Wei Wuxian's relationship as zhiji (soulmates) and cultivation partners. I would love to see a story written that encompasses the essence of this poem with WangXian as the Two Wicks.
One idea is to utilize this poem as a prophecy or long ago story foretelling the coming of two cultivators, different as opposites can be, but joined by one soul in love.
